Cat Went Missing and found 16 years later
If you have a pet and have experienced loss, it is a very painful thing. Not knowing where your pet might be, if they are well taken care or abandoned somewhere. These are always in the thoughts of owners who might have had their pet gone missing.
An amazing miracle happened when an owner who have had a cat missing 16 years ago and having it re-appeared, must be the most amazing feeling of joy!
Pet cat Poldi walked out of the family home in Munich, Germany, in 1996 and was never seen again.
Poldi’s family desperately tried to find the missing cat but to no avail and after months of looking they believed they would never see him again.

But an incredible 16 years later Poldi was found 20 miles away living in a forest.
The hikers who discovered the poorly puss took him to a local animal welfare centre where he and and his owner were identified by a tattoo on his ear.
The Munich Tierschutzverein Animal Rescue Centre spokesman Eveline Kosenbach said Poldi is now back with his relieved owner Monika Moser.
She said: ‘The cat was not feeling well – and obviously wanted to be found. He is now enjoying being looked after and is happily back with his owner at long last’
Animal shelters play a very important because there is where the public knows that animals will be cared for. Not expecting anything in return other, animal shelters play their part in caring and bringing awareness to the public on their duty and responsibility towards their pet. Of course, not forgetting that when an animal is lost, it should be taken to the nearest animal shelter for them to handle the animal humanely with love and care.
